CCTRP's Sensory Integration Trail

Below is a slideshow showing the process of building the Sensory Integration Trail

Sensory Integration Trail as the child rides through the stations he/she is able to enhance sensory learning. The five senses, sight, smell, hearing, touch and taste are integrated and enriched as the rider goes through the trail. Below are pictures and descriptions of the different stations of the sensory integration trail.

A- Ball Drop- Rider drops a color coordinated ball through the upper opening and the ball falls through the lower opening into a small bucket.
B- Bean Bag Toss- Rider tosses a color and shape coordinated bean bags through openings.
C- Drawing Station-  Rider copies pattern on sheet of paper. The child can take the drawing home with them at the end of the session.
D-Swimming Noodles Station- As the child rides through the noodles they experience the tactile stimulation of touching the noodles. They also visually see the colors of each individual noodle.
