Hello, Directors.
We’ve talked a few times in different settings about the potential of applying for and then hopefully receiving semester missionaries. The organization we’ve discussed is Go Now Missions, which is a part of Texas Baptists.
Last month I spoke with Brenda Sanders, who leads Go Now Missions. Since we have multiple campuses interested in receiving semester missionaries, she recommends we submit ONE application for the state. Then if we end up having applicants, I can help match the candidate(s) with the greatest need and/or the best fit. (More can be said on this later, if necessary.)
The timeline I was previously given apparently changed. They emailed me the application last week (a month earlier than expected). So instead of submitting the application sometime in September, the deadline is in August. I still think we can get this done, however this requires help from you during a time that is probably already busy.
In addition to the surprise with the timeline, this was the first time I was given the chance to view the application. I’ve spent some time looking through the application, along with a few requests they’ve received from previous years.Although I’m attaching the sample application, I AM NOT ASKING YOU TO COMPLETE IT. The application is only for your reference.
It’s slightly more involved than I knew to anticipate. And since we are needing to submit one “combined” application, I definitely need input from you to be able to submit an accurate request.
