Bridges of Health Inc.'s Challenge Colorado Therapeutic Riding
Program has partnered with the San Luis Valley Area Heath Education
Center (AHEC). AHEC has arranged for medical and pharmacy students
to volunteer during their rotations in the San Luis Valley.
The medical and pharmacy students are from the University of
Colorado Denver Anchutz Medical Campus School of Medicine and School
of Pharmacy.
Pas De Cheval (Step of the Horse)
Scot Schaefer allows the CCTRP horses to graze on his pasture during part of the year. This allows the horses to be a herd. Erika works with Barron. She is sensitizing Barron to the therapy materials in the arena. Diamond Edge Equine Dental provides all dental care to Challenge Colorado Therapeutic Riding Program horses. Birgit Burglechner performs dental work on one of the CCTRP horses. It's that time of year again . . . . .Dr. Ratzlaff vaccinates all CCTRP horses.
Alpine Veterinary Hospital Veterinarians ensure the health of all CCTRP Horses. Uri leans back and tackles her exercises with a smile. Volunteer Kyanna helps Alia feed Dottie cookies at Lil' Bukaroo Rendevous Reading Camp. Cookies are fed in a sturdy plastic dish. Dottie, in her carousel horse costume gets ready for her performance. University of Colorado (Denver Anchutz Campus) School of Pharmacy student,Brooke assists Dr.Curtiss Crawford in vaccinating Barron.
